Analisis Pemasaran Kentang Di Kecamatan Tosari Kabupaten Pasuruan Jawa Timur

Abstract:

Potato is one of improtant vegetable in Indonesia because it is a main food which has various of vitamines and minerals. Marketing has important role to encourage producer to increase their product.
The result of the study showed that marketing of potato in Tosari subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency, had not efficient due to margin distribution, cost and profit share not equal to all of market participant. It had no market integration between producer and consumer market. Price elasticity of transmission indicated that potato marketing was an imperfect compatition market in nature. Based on this research, it is needed more effective information system which spread throughout to all of market participant.
