Determination of Suspension of Changes Sediment Concentration Chopped Ratio With Nuclear Engineering

Abstract:

Calibration has been performed fixing suspension eroded sediment concentration against the ratio of counts with nuclear techniques using Am-241 gamma rays. Sediment suspension with various concentrations diirradiasi with Am-241 gamma rays.

Furthermore, the intensity of gamma irradiation results in sediment suspensions enumerated with the detector and as a blank is clear water. The results showed an increase in the concentration of the sediment suspension, the ratio of counts decreased exponentially. The results of the sediment concentration suspension enumeration counts plotte against the ratio for determining the calibration curve. A calibration curve will be usde as reference or a calculation to determine the concentration of the soil suspension.
