Abstract:
Structure of phytoplankton community have an important role of determining waters environment balance, because they are the first trophic level organism.
Phytoplankton produce the organic matter for other trophic level organism. They are also become as indicator to discribe the fertility of waters environment. From July 19-23, 1995 plankton sampling were carried out to identify kinds of phytoplankton and determine the structure of phytoplankton community in North Beach of Special District of Aceh. In general, structure of phytoplankton community have low diversity, nevertheless they distribute evenly and there is no spesies dominating the community. In other words they are still in balanced or natural condition.
Kata Kunci: Keragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, stadia suksesi.
