Analisis Kesiapan Stuktur Ekonomi Kabupaten Biak Dalam Mendukung Kawasan Pengembangan Ekonomi Terpadu
Abstract:
Biak Regency was chosen as a region of integrated economic development (KAPET) for Irian Jaya Province. Biak has a great potensial og natural resources. It is suported by good infrastructures and a strategis location for international traffic ships and slights.
Analysis of regional economic structure is intended to understand strenghteness of economic structure by compotition of value added bruto which is contributed by each economic sectors, interregion trades. direct backward lingkage direct forward lingkage power dispersion, income multiplier effect, and employment multiplier effect. Based on a researching and secondary data, it was show that Biak's economic stucture is dominated by agriculture, government and military administarion, transportation and comunication sector. Electricity and drinking water and comunication sector have Direct Backward and Forward Lingkage above medium grade. Besides electricity and drinking water sector has also Forward and Backward Power of Dispersion above medium grade. Developing Biak regency is suggested to encourage agriculture sector, such as agroindustry. Industrialization Biak Regency hoped be supported by development of electricity and drinking water, and transportation and comunication sector.
