The Potention of Pare's Fruit (Momordica charantia L) Extract to Mice (mus Musculus) Spermatogenesis

Abstract:

Pare’s fruit (Momordica charantia L) had a potention for antidiabetic and anti mitotic. Pare’s fruit contained cucurbitacin and include glycoside triterpenoid.

This research purposed to investigate the potention of cucurbitacin to decrease the spermatogenic cells in mice tubulus seminiferous. This experiment used five dosage treathment: 0 (control); 0,02; 0,03; 0,04 dan 0,05 gr/kg weight. The result of this experiment showed that pare’s extract give the significant result to decrease spermatogenic cell (spermatogonium, spermatosit and spermatid) in testical mice. The effective dosage to decrease the spermatogonium and spermatocid cell was 0.03 gr/kg weight and the spermatid was 0,05 gr/kg weight. The suggestion of this study was investigated the toxic effect for the important organ like lever an kidney.
